Size: 150-200+ lbs. Boerboels are large, powerful dogs with a strong, muscular build, perfect for experienced owners looking for a devoted guardian.

Shedding: Moderate. Short, dense coat that’s fairly easy to maintain, with regular brushing helping control shedding.

Barking: Low to moderate. Not overly vocal, but highly alert. Boerboels are natural protectors and will step in when necessary.

Experience Level: Best for experienced dog owners. Their size, strength, and protective instincts require confident handling and consistent leadership.

Children: Good with children in their family. They are known to be gentle and protective, but due to their size, supervision is always recommended.

Apartment Living: Not ideal. Boerboels thrive in homes with space, preferably a securely fenced yard where they can move freely.

Other Pets: Can do well with other animals if raised together, but may be dominant! Early socialization is very important.
