All About YorkiPoo’s! ๐Ÿพ

Size: 5โ€“12 lbs. YorkiPoo’s are tiny but often slightly sturdier than a purebred Yorkie. They are the ultimate “lap dogs,” designed to fit perfectly into your arms or a stylish travel carrier.

Shedding: Hypoallergenic. Like both parents, YorkiePoo’s have hair rather than fur. They are ideal for people with mild allergies and won’t leave hair on your clothes. However, they are “high maintenance” in the grooming department and need daily brushing and frequent spa days!

Barking: Moderate. YorkiePoo’s are very vocal. They inherit the Yorkieโ€™s “alert dog” instinct and the Poodle’s tendency to be a bit “chatty.” They will definitely let you know if the mailman arrives or if a leaf blows across the balcony.

Experience Level: Suitable for beginners. They are incredibly affectionate and live to please their owners.ย

Children: Better for older children. Because they are so small, especially as puppies, they thrive in homes with older children who understand how to handle “toy” breeds with care.

Apartment Living: Excellent. They are the quintessential apartment dogs. They don’t need a yard and can get plenty of exercise playing fetch with a plush toy in a hallway. Just be prepared to train them to “quiet down” for the neighbors’ sake!

Other Pets: Great!

Training: Moderately easy but could be potentially stubborn. YorkiPoo’s inherit a great deal of intelligence from their poodle parent, but Yorkie’s can be little divas!
